I’m a midwest girl, born and raised in Kansas City. So, yes, I love bbq. I have a slight obsession with coffee and Harry Potter. I began my design education at Kansas State University in 2004 in the Interior Architecture and Product Design program. (Go Cats!) In 2007, I joined the Air Force which became an unexpected yet significant blessing in my life. I joined to pay for college, but I stayed in because of the community of wonderful people. I continue to serve in the Reserves.
In the Air Force, I happened upon a tall, dark, and handsome man with a very high tolerance for silliness and home improvement projects. What else does a girl need? We said “I do” and have been inseparable since.
I’m a mama to two of the best kids on this planet. Well, maybe not the best kids… I keep telling them to stop growing up so fast and they don’t listen. I’m learning teenage lingo these days, and I think I’m low key W at it. (W means “good,” apparently)
We are suckers for adventure, and the Air Force has served up quite a bit of it for us. We love to travel and are always looking for the next place to explore.
If there’s anything we understand, it’s being busy. Your family and friends come first, in my book. When quality time is so precious, it’s hard for you to stomach the thought of spending any of it on a huge home project.
