That means we try to match the built-in elements of a home to its first identity. This colonial revival had been inching towards farmhouse with some 90s builder’s grade thrown in. We bumped up the “colonial” and took a collective sigh at the resulting beauty.

The living area was disjointed with no clear focal point. It felt more like a hallway than a living room. A dark color created a clear focal wall and a large sectional created the illusion of one large entertaining space. Plenty of storage for books, games, and xbox controllers round out this functional space. Isn’t it cozy?!

A kitchen-laundry combo may not be ideal to some, but sometimes it’s the only solution. When it can’t move, it simply must be beautiful. The old laundry closet in the middle of the kitchen created an unwanted separation and just felt big and clunky. We un-stacked the washing machine to create a large serving area and coffee bar. We added three pantry cabinets when there were zero before. A 300% improvement! Costco, here we come.

This owner’s suite… oh man. It was begging for a glow-up. We used deep colors and repeated finishes to create a sophisticated, harmonious space.

With that French door leading into the bath, we just HAD to put in a freestanding tub. The builder’s grade vanity was tired. The deep color of the new vanity harkens back to the bedroom, creating a harmonious space.
