Blog Post Five
What do you think of collage walls? There are so many ways to execute a collage wall. In my home office, I have this wild and more maximalist collage that, to me, feels inspirational. I need this kind of colorful, organized chaos in my artistic space.
My favorite places, people, along with things I’m really proud of!
It’s full of my drawings from 20 years ago. I kept them all this time and now I’m really happy I did. I love thinking about 17 yr old Alesa working so hard and being so proud of them. She never knew she’d be a business owner in 20 years!
See that lego map girl? Did you know I’m also a geographer/cartographer? :)
The entire point of this collage is to make me smile. So, all the people I cherish and all the things I adore most are included.
I think there is just too much beauty in the world to stick to one design style. The spaces I design end up being very personal and slightly eclectic.
I made that cardboard model about 19 years ago in design school. Lord knows how it has stayed (mostly) in tact through all these moves!
My daughter paints water colors and she’s amazing at it. She painted my llama and also made it out of clay for me. She’ll hate me for posting this, but these things warm my heart and I’m so proud of them.
Should I name these corbel guys? Suggestions?
I am also normal and have random decor that I haven’t done anything with yet. I bought this amazing corbel at High Point Market last year at an antique shop. It will hang on my wall. I already know the spot for it, but here we are… a year later… I go to HPMKT 2025 in two weeks… so I really should hang this before I go and bring home more antiques.
